After 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, the residents of the North Faja of the municipality of Yapacaní reinstated the blockade of the highway that connects Santa Cruz with Cochabamba, in demand for the construction of a 61 kilometer route. The measure was lifted for a few hours during the afternoon, so that militants and authorities, including President Luis Arce, could reach Yapacaní to participate in the MAS Departmental Congress.

While the politicians were meeting at the Marcelo Quiroga Santa Cruz Coliseum, a meeting was taking place between the mobilized and the Minister of Public Works.

Luis Arce arrived at the Yapacaní coliseum after noon, the same as the leader of the MAS, Evo Morales, drepresentatives, senators and other MAS militants.

According to the community, the blockade will last 48 hoursbut it will be extended indefinitely if there is no response from the authorities of the central government and the departmental government, they even threaten to close the valves of the oil wells in the Sirari field, located in the Challavito community, and in the Yapacaní field, which It is in the Los Pozos community.

In addition, they warn against taking over the offices of the Government of Santa Cruz, located in the capital of Santa Cruz.
