Without stating whether he will promulgate or observe the rule, President José Jerí indicated that he prefers to wait for the technical report of the sector, to establish a position on the signature of the law approved by the Permanent Commission of Congress that extended the validity of the Comprehensive Mining Formalization Registry (Reinfo) until December 2026.
The president indicated that a part of the wording of the rule linked to the expansion of the Reinfo has caught his attention and he prefers not to advance a position.
“I am waiting procedurally. There is an observation that has particularly caught my attention in the editorial office, now that I have seen it, but I am going to formally wait for the technical report of the sector and it is an issue in the editorial office that is linked to the enlargement,” he said.
Jerí preferred caution when asked if there was a possibility that the Executive would observe the autograph and the little time left until the deadline for the current extension of Reinfo expires (next December 31).
“I’m not going to say yes or no at this moment until I have the technical report. There are nine days left, but it is published in one hour and comes out in the extraordinary edition on the same day, that is not a problem. The writing of the Reinfo expansion has a second part that catches my attention at least,” the head of state insisted.
Last Friday, Congress sent to the Palace the signature of the law that the Permanent Commission approved last Wednesday.
