In an effort to improve the safety and quality of life of the inhabitants of the 23 de Enero parish, the Head of Government of the Capital District, Nahúm Fernández announced the completion of the rehabilitation work of the direct gas system, correction of leaks and maintenance in blocks 50, 51 and 39 of Zone E.
The initiative, promoted through the “En Línea Con” program, has benefited 536 families, which is equivalent to a total of 1,098 inhabitants. The project covered a total of 324 apartments, where various works were carried out with the aim of guaranteeing a safe and efficient supply of domestic gas.
Among the works carried out, the following stand out: installation of 120 meters of copper pipes, installation of 243 bronze connectors, installation of 60 quick-closing valves, installation of 36 meters of 1/2″ ASTM galvanized pipe, manufacturing of 24 doors with 18 gauge sheets and tubes, as well as construction and rehabilitation of masonry in 24 sheds.
In addition, painting and coating work was also carried out on 23 booths for the booths, application of anticorrosive and enamel paint (15 gallons), use of six kilos of electrodes and seven cutting discs for the manufacture of doors, and placement of 24 anti-shear padlocks.
