The Minister for Education, Yelitze Santaella, together with the mayoress of Caracas A/J Carmen Meléndez, delivered the Juana La Avanzadora Initial Education Center (CEIN) from the Santa Rosalía parish in the capital city, fully rehabilitated and conditioned for the development of the second pedagogical moment 2022-2023.
Santaella explained that the CEIN Juana La Avanzadora in Santa Rosalía has the capacity to care for 120 preschool-age boys and girls, “who will have from today, completely new facilities, as well as the School Food Program (PAE )”.
For her part, Mayor A/J Carmen Meléndez, indicated that the rehabilitation was executed, in joint work between the Popular Power and the Military Community Brigades of Health and Education (Bricomiles), “acting in the 22 parishes. We have almost 65% recovery of the schools in Caracas”.
He also added that progress has been made in the capital region, through the Caracas Patriot, Bella and Segura Plan, and the 1×10 of Good Government, in all educational centers in Caracas.
In the same way, he stressed that through the Bricomiles, nearly two thousand educational institutions have been transformed, rehabilitated and recovered, “we will not rest until we have 100%, as ordered by the president. The different levels of Caracas are articulated. I appreciate the support for Caracas and the recovery of the schools.”
