These are some names that prohibit the registrar.
News Caribbean.
The National Registry of Civil Status of Colombia denied in the last hours an information released in national media that related the history of some parents in the municipality of Cereté, Córdoba, which allegedly named his daughter to his daughter Chat Yipití.
“Accessed the databases produced and managed by the National Registry, to date there is no birth registration with the name ‘Chat Yipiti'”the entity clarified in a statement.
“Likewise, since some notaries can make birth inscriptions, the records of the Single Notary of Cereté, Córdoba, were reviewed, without finding any registration with that particular name,” said the Registry.

Names that prohibit the registry
As indicated on its official website, the officials of the National Registry of Civil Status are not obliged to register names such as Miperro, Hybrid, Judas, Belcebú, Satan.
Although the norm does not radically limit the freedom of the parents to give the name that their children want, officials can refrain from registering names that could attempt against dignity, healthy criticism and conscientious objection, because it is an offensive or denigrating description against the minor, the State of the State quotes.
As the case may be, the registration official may resort to a minor defender to intervene about the denomination that this father wants, “but notarial officials are not obliged to subscribe such names,” says the Registry.
