Registration for the 2026 edition of the Unified Selection System (Sisu) will begin on January 19th and can be done exclusively online, until January 23rd. The edition will be the largest in number of participating institutions, with 136 universities, federal institutes and federal technological education centers, which will offer 274.8 thousand places in 7,388 courses.
Registration is free and can be done exclusively by Single Access Portal to Higher Education. Candidates may apply for up to two vacancy options.
The candidate will be able to apply for the vacancy reservation modalities of the Quota Law and the institutions’ own affirmative actions. To do this, you need to fill out the socioeconomic registration and indicate the reservation methods for the vacancies you wish to apply for.
According to the notice published by the Ministry of Education (MEC), the selection process will only have one registration stage for the vacancies offered. The result of the regular call will be announced on January 29, 2026, and registration with institutions begins on February 2, 2026.
News
From 2026, Sisu will start to consider the results of the last three editions of Enem (2023, 2024 and 2025), considering the grade of the edition that results in the best weighted average, according to the course option. In the event of a tie in the use of weighted averages, the Enem edition in which the student obtained the highest grade in one of the subjects will be considered, according to the order of priority.
Only candidates who have participated in one or more editions with a grade higher than zero in the essay and have not been a trainer ─ students who have not finished high school and take the exam for self-assessment purposes will only be able to register for the 2026 edition of Sisu.
Vacancies will be filled by institutions according to the order in which candidates are ranked and, from January 29th to February 2nd, 2026, candidates who are not selected in the regular call may express interest in participating in the waiting list.
Quotas
According to a note from the MEC, candidates will be classified in the broad competition modality and, after the classification stage, the proportion of students from public schools, low-income, disabled, black, mixed-race, indigenous and quilombola students will be observed for the offer of reserved places.
