On Sunday, October 2, the regional and municipal elections throughout the country, in which citizens will elect their political representatives for the period 2023-2026.
In the case of the district of Comas, there are seven candidates seeking to reach the municipal chair, according to the Electoral Platform of the National Elections Jury (JNE).

The candidates for mayor of Comas are:
Rosa María Sahuanay Antúnez (Popular Action)
She studied nursing at the Higher Public Technological Institute of Recuay and education at the Enrique Guzmán y Valle National University of Education.
He also registers law studies at the Sergio Bernales Private University. In his sworn statement, he has not recorded sentences against him.
Miguel Ángel Saldaña Reátegui (Alliance for Progress)
He studied Law at the Federico Villarreal National University. He has been mayor of Comas three times.
He belonged to the National Unity and National Solidarity alliance. Later he joined the Alliance for Progress, with which he applied, unsuccessfully, in the last general elections of 2021.
Jean Pool Granados Lazo (Country Advances)
He studied Communication Sciences at the John Logie Baird Institute of Technology. According to the JNE portal, she was a militant of the Popular Christian Party (PPC) and of Vamos Peru.
In his affidavit of resume, the applicant stated that he is currently the general manager of the company Aepec SAC.
Ulises Beltrán Villegas Rojas (We are Peru)
He studied Law at the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University. He has experience in the public sector as a municipal official, advisor and consultant.
In addition, the applicant from Somos Perú was elected deputy mayor of the district of Comas in the municipal period 2015-2018.
Roxana Marylia Ari Acuña (Front of Hope 2021)
According to the affidavit he filed with the JNE, he studied Physical Education at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM).
She is currently a councilor in the district she is running for. She is also president of the Virgen del Chapi Cultural and Sports Association.
Wilfer Francisco Carlos Palacios (Purple Party)
Born in the Lambayeque region, he studied Law at the Federico Villareal National University (UNF), according to his resume.
In 2020, he ran in the extraordinary congressional elections with the Together for Peru party. He did not get a seat.
Alexis Lorenzo Banes Rios (Popular Renewal)
He studied Medicine at the San Juan Bautista Private University. Until last year he was a member of the Union for Peru (UPP) party, after which he became a member of Popular Renovation.
Currently, he works as a surgeon at the Sergio Bernales hospital, as stated in his affidavit of resume presented before the National Elections Jury (JNE).
