The Minister of Communication and Information of the Nicolás Maduro regime, Freddy Ñáñez, issued this Friday the usual daily report on the cases of covid-19 in the country during the last 24 hours.
In the balance, the Chavista official pointed out that for this July 8, 2022, 196 new cases of coronavirus were detected to raise the number of infections to 527,789 since the start of the pandemic last March 2020.
In the count, the government representative pointed out that 191 of the total reported cases correspond to community infections, with the most affected states being Yaracuy (44), Zulia (41), Guárico (18), Miranda and the Capital District (15).
“Barinas and Bolívar with 13; Merida with six; Apure, Carabobo, Delta Amacuro and Lara all with four cases each; Vargas with three; Sucre and Táchira with two; Anzoátegui, Aragua and Nueva Esparta with a single case respectively, ”said the minister in his account on the social network. Twitter.

He indicated that five cases were detected at the Comprehensive Social Care Post of the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, Vargas state, “two from Turkey, one from Spain, one from Mexico, and one from the Dominican Republic.”
In the same way, the Chavista minister did not report deaths from the disease, so that, 838 days after the start of the pandemic in the country, 5,739 deaths are recorded.
Ñáñez said that, of the 527,789 confirmed cases, 519,497 people have recovered, which represents 99% of the infections. “We have 2,553 active cases, 510 are being treated in the public health system, 106 in private clinics and 1,937 in supervised community care.”
“To date we have 1,597 patients who are asymptomatic, 783 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 129 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 44 in the Intensive Care Unit,” he said in another message.
