The Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) ratified the sentence against the political prisoners from Masaya Danny Garcia Y William Caldera Navarreteafter resolving “there is no place” for the appeal in favor of the two hostages of conscience.
Both opponents were sentenced to 16 years and nine months in prison plus a fine of 36,500 cordobas for the alleged crimes of drug trafficking, psychotropics and other controlled substances, to the detriment of the public health of Nicaraguan society.

The court document was sent to the lawyer Yonarqui Martínez, defense of the artisan Danny García, who for the second time is being held captive in the Jorge Navarro Penitentiary System, known as “La Modelo”, in Tipitapa.

Political prisoners Danny García and William Caldera Navarrete are recognized opponents of Masaya. They joined the civic protests since 2018.
They were recaptured by the Police of the Ortega-Murillo regime on September 14, 2020 after raiding their respective homes to later charge them with common crimes related to drugs, weapons and explosives, exactly the same pattern that the Police and the Public Ministry are following against political opponents.
