The spokeswoman and vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, reported this Thursday, June 16, through her propaganda media, that the Sandinista Youth July 19 (JS) is organizing a concert with the evangelical churches.
“Yesterday (June 15) the Sandinista Youth July 19 met with more than 100 pastors and leaders of Christian churches to organize a national concert of Christian music,” the government spokeswoman detailed.

The Christian event —where one of the repressive forces in Nicaragua will be in charge— is scheduled for August 6, however the deputy dictator did not say where it will take place.
“We are ready to work together in this great event of praise and worship (…) Happy and proud of these meetings that allow us to find all the ways to worship the Father,” said the first lady, who is questioned about her religiosity.
The concert would come at a time when the Police and paramilitaries are persecuting and besieging the Nicaraguan Catholic Church and priests, who have been critical of Ortega’s repressive policy. Evangelicals have not been spared from the onslaught either, since they directed the censorship of Enlace Canal 21 and Radio Nexus, as a punishment against the Reverend Guillermo Osorno, who volunteered to participate in the 2021 general elections and later criticized the lack of transparency in the process. .
Currently, the Ortega justice prosecutes the priest Manuel Salvador García, parish priest of the Jesus of Nazarene Church, in Nandaime, in Granda. The Prosecutor’s Office accuses him of having assaulted a woman.

It has also maintained a paramilitary and police siege against Monsignor Rolando Álvarez, bishop of the Matagalpa diocese, and against Father Harving Padilla, former parish priest of the San Juan de Masaya Church, who was surrounded for more than a week by the Police.
It is worth mentioning that some evangelical churches have the complacency of the residential couple in Nicaragua. In 2019, the dictatorship handed over legal personalities to dozens of churches in this religious sector.
«We are calm and sure to progress with that heroism that grows, with that love that saves, with a future that we create together and for the good of all; in force of victories. Winners of hatred and death”, refuted Murillo.
