The Nicaraguan regime, through the Ministry of the Interior (Migob), voluntarily dissolved —according to the argument— six non-profit organizations that provided care to children and adolescents, and also canceled the legal status of another 20 NGOs, allegedly for “breach” the laws that regulate them. The decision was made public this Wednesday through La Gaceta, the official newspaper.
Regarding the dissolution of the first five organizations, the Migob indicated that they have not operated or carried out activities of any kind and they themselves requested the cancellation of their legal personality.

The NGOs that will stop operating in the country are Aid Foundation for Boys, Girls and Adolescent with Cancer and Leukemia (FUNANCA) merced foundationbelonging to the Dominican Catholic Church.
It was also “voluntarily” outlawed the Association Center for Rehabilitation for Drugs and Alcoholism, Saint Vincent de Paul (CERSAVP)the Association for Nephropathic Children (ANNEF), and the Power of God Pentecost Ministry Association (AMPPD)the latter supposedly dissolved due to the lack of economic resources to carry out projects.
It should be noted that these five organizations had been operating in the country for more than 20 years. So far none of the institutions has ruled on the decision that according to the Ministry of the Interior was voluntary.
Ortega bills another 20 NGOs
As has been a constant since 2018, the Ortega regime also decapitated another 20 non-governmental organizations, arguing, according to the Minister of the Interior, Maria Amelia Colonel Kinloch, they failed to comply with the Laws that regulate them.
Among the organizations that Ortega included in the list of more than three thousand canceled since 2018 are Christian organizations, as well as two military retirees, one from the Contras, another from the Sandinista Army, in addition to the Cleaner Production Center and the Association of Women with Cancer.

According to the Ortega regime, these organizations have breached their obligations as established in article 34 numerals 3, 7, 24, 25, 26, 26.1, 26.3 and 27 of Law No. 1115, “since they did not report for periods of between three and 20 years their Financial Statements according to fiscal periods, with detailed breakdowns of income and expenses, Verification balance, detail of donations (origin, provenance and final beneficiary) and their Boards of Directors”
It also points out that the 20 NPOs have hindered the control and surveillance of the General Directorate of Registration and Control of Non-Profit Organizations of Migob.
In addition, he accuses them of not reporting their boards of directors and financial statements according to fiscal periods, with detailed breakdowns of income and expenses, they did not promote transparency policies in the administration of the funds, ignoring the execution of their projects and whether they were in accordance with their objectives and purposes, for which they were granted Legal Personality.
Once the 20 organizations were outlawed, the Ministry of the Interior ordered the liquidation of their property and assets “applying the provisions of Law No. 1115.”
