Initially, the unit sank from the rear. Civil Protection authorities of the Mayor’s Office went to the site and cordoned off the area, however, minutes later, the ground opened completely and the truck ended up collapsing vertically inside the undercut.

An initial diagnosis by authorities of the Iztapalapa Mayor’s Office indicates that the undercut was opened due to the rupture of the drainage pipe, which eroded the earth and generated the hop.

Through her social networks, the mayor of Iztapalapa, Aleida Alavéz, announced that the actions to cordon off the area and carry out the studies, as well as the coordination with the Secretariat of Integral Water Management to review and attend the sinkhole.
