Red unit grows in Alto Paraná with one of the most voted candidates in the country

The lawyer Marcos Fariña assured that the signing of the document ratifying Senator Fernando Lugo’s candidacy is legitimate and he did it himself in his own handwriting, denying rumors of an alleged forgery.

In an interview with Universo 970/Nación Media, the legal representative of Senator Fernando Lugo stated that days ago with Luis Paciello they had the opportunity to visit their client in the sanatorium in which he is interned in Argentina.

After this visit, he was able to verify that the legislator of the Frente Guasú has achieved a fairly significant recovery and progress that he defined as “encouraging”recovering lucidity and interacting without problems.

Regarding the controversy that arose around to the signing of the act of ratification of his candidacyFariña maintained that Lugo signed said document in his own handwriting in his hospitalization roomdenying any possible forgery.

He signed before Luis Paciello, before me and a notary that we have hired in the Argentine Republic that has certified said act”, he emphasized. The signing was finalized last Sunday.

This documentation was presented Tuesday afternoon at the offices of the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE) with the corresponding certification of the public notary of the neighboring country, confirming Fernando Lugo as number 1 candidate on the list for the Senate of the Guasú Front.

Farina also explained that The sanatorium’s policy contemplates a prohibition on the dissemination of videos or images of patientshence they will request a written authorization to be able to take some photographs that allow to verify the state of health of the ex-president.

There is no impediment or restriction for (Lugo) to occupy a seat in the Senate in the next period”, reiterated the lawyer.
