“The embodiment of the perfect player,” is how Red Bull Kumite commentator Michael ‘Yipes’ Mendoza described Saul Leonardo Mena Segundo. “Perfect is a word that is rarely used in competitive games, due to the volatility that naturally follows Street Fighter. However, no other player apart from ‘The Strongest Bull’ himself can be considered a two-time Capcom Cup champion.” He added.
Possessing a natural talent for the game, MenaRD sets himself apart from his fellow competitors with his unwavering loyalty and commitment to his Dominican roots. As the first Latin player to lift the Capcom Cup, MenaRD used his $250,000 winnings to fund further support for the Dominican fighting game scene and esports communities, before going on to win another Capcom Cup, Red Bull Kumite, and Evo Japan in 2024.
