Red Alert decreed in Tiltil due to forest fire

The National Disaster Prevention and Response Service (Segnapred) issued a Red Alert in the Tiltil commune due to a forest fire.

According to the agency, the fire is in combat and has consumed 161 hectares.

In detail, CONAF reported that the fire called “El Tapihue 3” presents “imminent danger to the structure of the ‘El Olivo’ mining company.”

In this sense, all available resources will be mobilized, such as a C-130 Hercules aircraft that is already heading to the area to “support combat work.”
