The return to classes will be given in an orderly manner, attending all security protocols and with the participation of the management body of the faculties and schools, Lomelí said.
In addition, the authorities will remain attentive to the recommendations that the Special Security Commission of the University Council performs to guarantee the integrity of the community and provide psychological care to those who require it.
Lomelí met today with the Special Security Commission of the University Council, and with the general secretary of this house of studies, Patricia Dávila Aranda, a week after the crime in the CCH-Sur.
The rector recalled that there are schools, faculties, schools and institutes of the UNAM that have face -to -face classes, some are online activities, others are unemployed by the commemoration of the Ayotzinapa case and October 2, 1968, while others suspended activities in solidarity with the South CCH.
The rector exposed the lines of action that UNAM is applying to cases of threat:
1. Inform and report. The faculties, schools, institutes and centers that have received or receive threats immediately inform the Ministry of Prevention, Support for Mobility and University Security, which contacts the federal and local public security authorities, so that the necessary revisions are made together. Likewise, the Office of the General Lawyer responsible for lifting the corresponding complaints is informed.
2. Apply protocols and actions coordinated with your technical council. The directors or directors convene the Technical Council of the Faculty, School, Institute or Center so that, together, the convenience that academic activities are temporarily carried out online, while the protocols are reviewed and submit the corresponding complaints.
3. Define with your collegiate body the steps to follow. The Directors and Directors will determine with their Technical Council and the Local Security Commission the return to face -to -face classes once the safety conditions of the campus have been verified.
The rector shared the actions that will be carried out to combat violence at the schools:
1. Include and listen to the community. The directors or directors will convene their local security commissions so that, if necessary, changes are promoted that strengthen the safety conditions of the campus, the protocols of action and improvements that are relevant are defined, in turn consulting the community of each faculty or school to share their proposals.
2. Strengthen security measures. Permanent monitoring will always be reinforced with a rights approach, as well as patrols, incorporating in the case of baccalaureate parents who voluntarily have offered to collaborate and accompany this process.
3. The psychological and emotional care programs will be strengthened. With the purpose of attending to a greater number of people and offering a more punctual monitoring of those who require it, the University will strengthen and immediately expand its emotional support program and coordinate with the federal government and the governments of Mexico City, as well as of the states.
4. The additional measures will be carried out to return to normal, such as courses, workshops, conferences, cultural and sports activities and all those that contribute to strengthening our community fabric.
Rector Leonardo Lomelí said that UNAM is not the only university in the world that has received threats in recent months. Although they are normally false, they generate anxiety, and you have to take them seriously.
He indicated that measures have been taken to resume face -to -face activities as soon as possible, that there have been people who retracted their action carried out on social networks, which will be taken into consideration and will proceed legally and disciplinary against those who have sown the concern in schools.
