Rector of the UAT appoints Dr. María Concepción Placencia as general secretary

Ciudad Victoria, Tamps., In accordance with his powers conferred in the Organic Statute of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT), the rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado appointed Dr. María Concepción Placencia Valadez general secretary of the highest house of studies in the state.
The rector presented the appointment to the new head of the General Secretariat of the UAT, to whom he expressed his confidence to strengthen the institutional work and continue promoting the improvement of education, for the benefit of university students and the entity in general.
Following this process, the nomination of Dr. María Placencia Valadez, who takes over from Dr. Eduardo Arvizu Sánchez, will be put up for consideration by the University Assembly in an upcoming session of this collegiate body to ratify this designation in accordance with the Organic Statute. of the UAT.
It should be noted that Dr. Placencia has completed her professional training at the UAT as an agronomist specializing in soils, a graduate in administration, a master in human resources development and a doctor in public administration.

He has worked as a teacher at the Victoria Faculty of Commerce and Administration and at the Victoria Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the UAT, and has participated as a speaker in various academic forums.
She is co-author of chapters in the books: Gender, university and society; Preventive actions in public health policies with a focus on addictionsand Analysis of public policy for the treatment of young users of addictive substances in Mexico, 2013-2018in addition to publications in national and international magazines and books.
In his academic career at the UAT he collaborated with the disciplinary group of criminal law, public security and criminology, and is currently leader of the disciplinary group of governance and regulatory improvement.
It has recognition from the UAT for university merit, in 2013; emeritus professor, in 2021, and a 38-year career of service at this university in the areas of university extension, public relations, student coordination, liaison and collegiate bodies in the General Secretariat.
