Rector Conrado Pérez assures that the CNE website will be reactivated soon

Conrado Pérez Briceño rejected the measures imposed by the United States, the European Union and Canada against several Venezuelan State officials. He says they are “unfair and illegal”


The rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE); Conrado Pérez assured this Monday, January 13, that “the CNE website will be reactivated soon.”

In interview with GlobovisionPérez said that he is aware of the work carried out by the operational team to enable the electoral entity’s portal. “I know that the president and the vice president who are in charge of the electoral operational part are fully willing to put the National Electoral Council page at their service, and this will be done, soon because they are working on it.”

The National Electoral Council’s website stopped working on July 28, the day of the presidential elections, and was briefly active on Monday, August 26; From there it has not been operational again.

The CNE stated that its portal was no longer active due to an attack; which has prevented the electoral body from publishing in detail the results of the presidential elections, which it claims Nicolás Maduro won, however, the opposition affirms that the elections were won by Edmundo González after obtaining copies of more than 85% of the electoral records. .

Conrado Pérez Briceño is principal rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE) following the dismissal of former rector Juan Carlos Delpino.

On the other hand, Pérez rejected the measures imposed by the United States, the European Union and Canada against several Venezuelan State officials. It is important to remember that Conrado Pérez stands out among those sanctioned.

In his opinion, the measures imposed by these nations are “unfair and illegal” and “do not obey any administrative act of honesty.”
