A total of 50 panelas of cocaine were recovered in Falcón by agents of the Bolivarian National Guard, according to military reports.
The location and recovery of the drug consignment took place in two procedures, one of which occurred in the Cararapa sector, Falcón municipality (Pueblo Nuevo), Falcón state. At that site, the military proceeded to seize 25 panels of cocaine weighing 28 kilos 600 grams hidden in a multicolored sack.
The other 25 panelas of drugs were located in the Ánimas de Cuica sector, a territory also belonging to the Falcón municipality (Pueblo Nuevo). This second batch totaled 28 kilos 522 grams, also hidden in a multicolored sack.
The aforementioned package where the panelas were found is very similar to the 63 bags located in international waters, 200 nautical miles from Barbados, during a joint operation between France and Venezuela with the seizure of 1,753,500 kilos of cocaine, as reported at the time. by the Interior Minister, Remigio Ceballos.
Minister Ceballos declared on that occasion that this drug came from Colombia and entered Venezuela through an air route that starts in Apure, crosses Guárico, Anzoátegui and arrives in Monagas where they detected a collection center within the Guarapiche Forest Reserve, where in addition drug officers located 52 rifles, among other war materials.
