And he continued: “The neighbors in the streets of Buenos Aires, Puerto Madryn, Tierra del Fuego are also noticing it and, above all, the merchants, restaurants, artisans and all the people who live from tourism are noticing it. This is part of the economic recovery that the National State is promoting and as the Ministry of Transportation we make our contribution”.
The minister also highlighted: “Those who directly or indirectly benefit from tourism are going to continue to perceive this boost in the coming months, as many cruise ships that are confirmed for this season continue to arrive and come to visit us and learn about everything Argentina has to offer. and we Argentines have to offer them”.
For his part, the controller of the General Administration of Ports (AGP), José Beni, stated: “We know that each tourist that arrives is a visitor that generates work and foreign exchange in our country., but he is also someone who is going to discover our culture and landscapes. That is why at AGP, following the directives of Minister Giuliano, we put so much effort into making the industry grow more and more.”
How many cruise ships entered each port
According to data from the Ministry of Transportation, “more than 35 cargoes entered the port of Buenos Aires boats, receiving 104,551 passengers; On the other hand, in Tierra del Fuego there have been 317 calls so far, transporting 61,554 passengers”.
