The expert in social security issues, Arismendi Díaz Santana advocated that the economist’s proposal Ellen Pérez Ducy be studied by Pension Superintendence (Sipen) since the country must be open to examine any constructive suggestion that is aimed at improving the standard of living of all Dominicans.
Pérez Ducy proposes that affiliates be authorized to use part of their accumulated savings as initial to acquire their first home. I express that as any pension project, it is necessary to carry out an exhaustive analysis of its financial and actuarial implications in the medium and long term for most contributing workers who could qualify.

Díaz Santana stressed that the analysis to be carried out would be to determine what the percentage representing rentals for the different social strata of pensioners and retirees, as a proportion of their pension.
