A proposal from Maximiliano Abraham to the cyclist Daniela Jara
In the last ordinary session of this year 2025 of the Departmental Board of Cerro Largo, the Mayor of the National Party proposed holding a special session to recognize one of the most outstanding athletes that the department currently has.
The Departmental Legislator made use of the Previous Half Hour to argue the reason for this request that from February will begin to be analyzed in the Tourism, Sports and Youth Commission of the Communal Deliberative itself.
“By this means I come to address you today to propose at this Departmental Meeting, the recognition of a woman athlete who has been representing our department with important achievements. This is Carol Daniela Jara Álvarez who is 43 years old and is an Early Childhood Educator at CAIF Garabatos and at CAIF Abejitas” started his exhibition Maximilian Abraham.

“His perseverance, ability to adapt to diverse terrain and determination have led him to obtain excellent results throughout the country” Abraham highlighted in another part of his argument.
“He has proudly represented our department in events such as Scott Marathon, Gran Fondo Movistar, 101 Kilómetros San Carlos, 100 Kilómetros Da Terra, 100 Kilómetros San José, La Totora and many other competitions throughout the country” he detailed.
“She obtained podiums in all the departments where she has competed, facing the best cyclists in the country” the nationalist legislator remarked.
“Last year she was recognized in Montevideo for her career, effort and representation of women’s cycling, the same achievements that led her to be chosen Godmother of the National Sports Games in Cerro Largo in 2024” recalled Maximilian Abraham.
“Lately, the Movistar tour competed, a competition that took place on three dates, in Montevideo, Rivera and Punta del Este, winning all dates among more than 1,800 cyclists” projection
