The second round of the 2022 Elections, this Sunday (30), gains journalistic coverage from the vehicles of Brazil Communication Company (EBC) with real-time news and thematic reports marked by credibility, balance, exemption and service provision. From 6:55 am, Brasília time, teams from TV Brazil, Brazil Agency and radios National and MEC go on the air with live bulletins and dissemination of content of interest to citizens.
More than 156 million Brazilians return to the polls this Sunday to choose the President of the Republic who will lead Brazil for the next 4 years. Voters from 12 states will also vote to elect the new governor.
Information on the candidates’ agenda, the profile of each one of them and the disclosure of government plans registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) are among the main subjects guided in the special coverage of the vehicles of the EBC.
Throughout the program, in the newsletters of TV Brazil and radio stations, check official information on the progress of voting, guidelines for voters and the vote for presidential candidates.

TV Brasil in the second round
This Sunday, the journalistic program of the TV Brazil it has factual coverage on the streets, electoral courts and in the studios of the public broadcaster. From 6:55 am, Brasília time, bulletins will be broadcast, every hour, with live information, direct from the TSE, in Brasília, and from the Regional Electoral Courts of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Reporters from TV Brazil and broadcasters affiliated to the National Public Communication Network (RNCP) reinforce coverage. Through flashes, journalists detail the movement at polling places and share useful information to voters, such as the main events involving candidates for the Presidency of the Republic, among other content.
From 5:00 pm, at the Brasília studio, presenters Katiúscia Neri and Roberto Camargo command the special news for the polls, together with journalist Paulo Leite, responsible for presenting the direct attraction of the TSE, in the federal capital.
The three share coverage of the vote count across Brazil with journalists Annie Zanetti, in São Paulo, and Munike Moret, in Rio de Janeiro.
They increase coverage, the rotation of reporters, special bulletins, as well as citizen service articles and interviews with authorities.
At the channel’s studio in Brasília, Katiúscia Neri and Roberto Camargo receive professor and political scientist Ricardo Caldas for analysis and comments on the numbers obtained, results at the polls, political scenarios, among other topics related to the election. Also during the program, a sound signal, similar to that of electronic voting machines, announces in real time, based on information from the Electoral Justice, the candidate elected in each state and for the Presidency of the Republic.
Agency Brazil coverage
Number of voters and polls, voting time, among other general information about the second round will be based on the opening article of the Brazil Agency, which begins journalistic work at 6 am. Throughout the day, reporters and photographers from Brasília, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo take to the streets to show the movement of voters in the polling stations.
Direct from the Integrated Center of National Command and Control, the Brazil Agency also monitors balance sheets and press conferences. Sectors of the Judiciary and photographers will be attentive, in Brasília, to the dissemination of TSE bulletins and possible interviews, and reporters from São Paulo will check the news at TRE-SP.
At the end of the election, the teams follow the counting of votes for president and governor in the 12 states where there will be a second round. From 5 pm, the Brazil Agency it makes a real-time polling panel available on its website and, after the results are published, it publishes articles with statements from the candidates elected for president and governors.
Also throughout the coverage, the online news will disclose the profile of the two presidential candidates; report on the states in which there will be a second round, with a brief profile of candidates for governor in each federative unit; article on the eight cities where there will be an election for mayor in addition to voting for president and governor; a record, with photos, of the voting of the two presidential candidates; as well as data on abstentions, null and blank votes.
THE National Radio is also present, on the network, in the coverage of the second round of the 2022 Elections, starting at 6:55 am, with the participation of reporters from the broadcaster itself and other affiliates of the National Public Communication Network (RNCP).
Every half hour, live flashes inform the movement of voters in the cities and provide services to listeners from the opening to the closing of the polls. They are records with information from the TSE and locations with the TRE. And, at 5 pm, the radios EBC enter into a special network with the programming of the TV Brazil. the broadcasters National FM, AM, Alto Solimões, Amazon OC and MEC AM and FM, inform the live score to the listener. The transmission of content about the election ends after the official announcement of the result.
