Real Madrid made the arrival of the French midfielder from Monaco official Aurelien Tchouameni for the next six seasons, this Saturday in a statement.
The 22-year-old international must still undergo the traditional medical examination prior to signing his contract. It is scheduled to be presented on Tuesday around 6:00 (HB) at the facilities of the Spanish and European champion club.
“Real Madrid CF and AS Monaco have agreed on the transfer of the player Aurelien Tchouameni, who will be linked to the club for the next six seasons,” the ‘merengue’ team said in a brief statement.
Monaco simultaneously made official the departure of its player, with a short text in which he provided the same data.
Tchouameni is currently concentrated with the French team and he is the only player from Didier Deschamps’ squad who started in the first three matches for the ‘Bleus’ in this international window, against Denmark, Croatia and Austria, in matches corresponding to group A1 of the UEFA Nations League.
France has a match pending this monthon Monday at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis (northern suburbs of Paris) against Croatia.
The player had arrived at Monaco from Bordeaux in January 2020, in a transfer that amounted to 20 million euros ($21.04 million).
Tchouameni leaves the Principality club, according to different sources close to the matter, for €80 million ($84.1 million), to which 20 million euros would be added through various bonuses.
According to those same sources, Monaco must transfer 10% of the capital gain achieved to Bordeaux (recently relegated to the second division), that is, about 6 million euros (6.31 million dollars), not counting bonuses.
