RD$1,200 millones en obras en Puerto Plata y Samaná

President Luis Abinader exhausted an intense agenda; he started works that exceed RD $ 1,000 million

With an investment of RD$449 million, the president Louis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism, David Colladopresented the reconstruction project of the Samaná boardwalk.

The work seeks to add value to the tourist proposal of that province and have a favorable impact on the community of the main municipality.

The objective is to improve the stormwater drainage conditions of the boardwalk, by increasing the capacity of the conduits that connect the Pueblo Viejo River and the Panchita ravine with the ocean.
Both constitute the main bodies that transport the pluvial waters of the municipality. Likewise, President Abinader gave the first punch for the construction work of the entrance to the city of Santa Bárbara de Samana, at a cost of 300 million pesos. The work, to be executed by the Ministry of Public Workswill have an intervention of 3.3 kilometers, from the municipal district of El Limón until reaching the main municipality.

The head of Public Works, Delign Ascensionsaid that the Government has delivered in that demarcation works worth 500 million pesos, among them, the El Limón bridge, paved in the Santa Bárbara-Samaná sectors, Anabel beach areas, Villa Clara, Villa Félix, Loma de Colón and Javier alley, as well as the construction of the El Limón, El Naranjo, Cabeza de Toro and Las Garitas local roads.

As part of the agenda, the head of state participated in the inauguration of the first phase of the Hacienda Samaná Bay residential-tourist project, which will generate some 800 jobs, with an investment of more than US$100 million, by the company Indebay.

Puerto Plata

On Saturday, President Abinader finished an intense day of work in Puerto Plata, which included the start of the renovation of Sosúa Beach, with an investment of more than RD$615 million.

This project will cover the fitting out of restrooms and the organization of vendors who make life in the area. It will also include the reordering of traffic, parking and improvement of access to beaches, installation of security cameras and regularization of entertainment centers.

Likewise, the intervention includes protection programs for children and adolescents in conditions of vulnerability.

Subsequently, the president moved to the Puerto Plata Air Base, where he inaugurated the renovated dining and cafeteria areas for officers and enlisted men. In Puerto Plata, Abinader also participated in the Supérate day, in which more than 300 cards were delivered to fishermen.

In addition, the plastic was delivered to the beneficiaries of the “Stay at Home” program who were still receiving help through the card. The president led the first pie of the San Felipe Market, which will have a private investment from the Dominican Tourist Entertainment Trust, for more than one billion pesos.

Likewise, it participated in the inauguration of the Technological Operations Center of the National System for Attention to Emergencies and Security 9-1-1, to strengthen citizen security.
