It was with emotion, in the last lap of the Tokyo (Japan) stage of the Street League Skateboarding (SLS), that two-time world champion Rayssa Leal won the title and, as a bonus, early classification for the Super Crow final, which will define the winner of the season 2024. The only Brazilian representative in the women’s final on the Ariake Arena track, the 16-year-old from Maranhão scored 7.9 in the last maneuver, totaling 30.7 points, surpassing host Coco Yoshizawa, Olympic champion in Paris, who finished in third place (29.4). In second place was another housewife: Liz Akama (30.1).

In the qualifying phase, Rayssa felt discomfort in her foot in the first heat at Ariake Arena, which hindered her performance. When he was in fourth position (20.1 points), in the penultimate lap, he obtained a score of 8.1, totaling 28.2 points and advancing to the final in first place. This Saturday, the Brazilian reached the 18th final in a row at SLS, the longest sequence of finals in a row between men and women.
This was the second time in the season that Rayssa secured the top spot on the podium: the first was in April, in the San Diego stage (United States). The Maranhão native was also runner-up in Paris, in the debut stage of the SLS. Bronze at the Paris Gamesthe Brazilian will seek an unprecedented third title among women in the Super Crown final, with the support of the Brazilian fans: the decision for the 2024 title will be on December 14th and 15th, at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium, in São Paulo. Compatriot Giovanni Vianna will compete in the men’s final, dreaming of a second title.
