Brazilian athlete Rayssa Leal, 16 years old, won the bronze medal in women’s street skateboarding this Sunday (28).
With great emotion and an Olympic record, the Brazilian won third place in the last maneuver of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Rayssa had a shaky start, but managed to recover. She started by making mistakes in the first two laps of the heat and needed high scores in her tricks. Fadinha achieved the highest score in the history of Olympic street skateboarding up to that point with 92.68 and advanced in seventh place.
In the final, the Brazilian finished the lap phase in fifth place, with 71.66. When it came to maneuvers, her talent spoke louder. She broke her own record on her second attempt and scored 92.88. Rayssa missed her first, third and fourth attempts. On her last attempt, she scored 88.83 to secure the bronze in Paris.
In 2020, at the Tokyo Olympics, Rayssa from Maranhão won the silver medal, at the age of 13.
