This Monday, the Minister of Economy, Silvina Batakis, announced that as of this Friday, July 15, the registry will be opened so that citizens can maintain energy and gas subsidies, according to the new rate segmentation.

“This Friday, July 15, it will be ready for the entire population, the rate segmentation for the different types of population”, indicated the economist, who at the same time underlined that the new user cataloging It will be done in accordance with Decree 332/2022 established by President Alberto Fernández.

Said decree establishes that the rate segmentation will be done in three groups according to the income level of each user, so Subsidies will be removed from the wealthiest groups, which are estimated to be 10% of the population.

In this sense, one group will pay the full rate, another will have a minimum increase and the third with a social rate, as indicated in decree 332/2022, published in the Official Gazette.

Users who will not receive any type of subsidy will be those who have total monthly household income that exceeds $333,000 pesos, have three or more vehicles less than five years old; or own three or more properties or a vessel or aircraft.

For their part, those in the middle category, who will receive an increase in the rate of 20% on average, will be users whose total monthly household income is less than three basic baskets type two according to INDEC (National Institute of Statistics and Censuses). , do not have more than three properties or own two or more vehicles less than five years old.

The Government seeks to reduce spending on subsidies.

While the users who will continue with the social tariff will be those who declare to have total monthly household income equivalent to a type two basic basket according to INDEC, have less than two properties or do not own any and do not have a vehicle less than three years old. of antiquity.

How to complete the registration to receive the subsidy

Starting next Friday, as announced by the minister, all citizens must complete the Registration of Access to Energy Subsidies (RASE) form, In order to establish the new cataloging in the rates.

Each user will know to which category they belong once they complete the RASE.

This registration is done through the ANSES (National Social Security Administration), virtually or physically. In addition, it will be necessary to present an affidavit to certify the declared information.
