The vice president of the RepublicRaquel Peña, inaugurated this Wednesday night the thirty-sixth edition of the fair multi-sector Expo Cibao 2024.
The opening date of the exhibition coincided with the 110th anniversary of the founding of the Camera of Trade and production of Santiagothe organizing institution of the event, which will be held from October 2 to 6 in the Central Park of Ciudad Corazón with the motto: “Building a better country together.”
The vice president thanked the organizers for inviting her again to the opening ceremony of the fairconsidered the most important of this type carried out in the Cibao region.
The vice governor highlighted that the platform is an assembly that offers opportunities to build a series of alliances strategic, that promote the development of Cibao and the entire country.
Likewise, he highlighted that this type of events allow you to verify the unique advantages of investment that offers Santiago.
Raquel Peña assured that these qualities allow Ciudad Corazón to be positioned as a logistics hub throughout the region.
Carlos Iglesias, president of the Camera of Trade and production of Santiagoreported that the great novelty of the 2024 version of the fair is the inclusion of the cattle raising and the fintechboth reflecting the event’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Furthermore, the business leader said that the visitors will be able to enjoy significant advances in traditional sectors such as, consumption massive, retailsfinancial, automotive, agriculture, insurance, beauty, telecommunications and media, where new lines of organic and artisanal products will be highlighted.
With these new additions, Expo Cibao expects to attract more than 180 thousand visitors and generate a significant economic impact in the region.
