“We hope that Justice does not leave a single loophole for impunity for this fact.” This is what the First Lady of the Republic, Raquel Arbaje, declared after the Attorney General’s Office issued the reasons for the death of the adolescent Esmeralda Richiez.
Arbaje, who is also president of the Cabinet for Children and Adolescents, regretted the death of Richiez due to hypovolemic shock, according to the report by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif).
“The event has deeply moved Dominican society, which is horrified by the circumstances in which Esmeralda lost her life. There is not and there will never be any justification for the alleged perpetrator of her, nor a sentence that makes the social and family loss that this death means less painful »said Arbaje in a statement published on his social networks.
