During the weekend, the facilities of the Pentagrama 107.3 FM station, located on the Caracas road, near the Norte Sur highway in Puerto Ordaz, were vandalized, the second incursion in less than a month.

On this occasion, the vandals stole pieces and parts from two station transmitters, as well as the electrical panels, 200 meters of cable for wave transmission, a five-ton air conditioner, the installation breakers and a high-voltage transformer that They must have come down from a pole.

In the previous incursion into the facilities of Pentagram 107.3 FM 50 meters of waveguide cable were cut, causing the signal to go off the air and the station’s programming to be suspended indefinitely since last August 17.

The damage caused by the vandalization of the plant is incalculable, since the equipment is designed for long-range transmitters and is not produced in the country.

It should be noted that, in addition to thefts and acts of vandalism in recent years, Radio Pentagrama 107.3 FM has had to fight to resolve damages suffered by equipment due to the constant fluctuations in the electrical service in the area, which have left it out of the air for several weeks.
