In that sense, he maintained that “we are also talking about the judiciary and the very strong impact that Cristina’s trial has,” and stated that “the judges and prosecutors have to realize that they are also going to be judged.”
The magistrate also highlighted the call as “a meeting with the neighbors” who came to listen to the act.
In the space reserved for the event in the square there was a poster with the figure of the statue of Justice where it could be read: “Your power lies in my fear. I am no longer afraid, you no longer have power.”
Although both Rachid and Ramos Padilla denounced moments before the call on their social networks that the city government tried to “prevent the act”, the judge explained to Télam that the situation was “quickly resolved” and they were able to carry out the protest.
The call is part of an initiative that both referents have been carrying out for a few months in different squares of the City of Buenos Aires demanding “independent justice.”
One of these demonstrations took place in Parque Centenario on August 13, and in Parque Chacabuco, on the 23rd of the same month.
