Ramón Ashby Chial, current representative of the township of Calidonia, was sworn in on Saturday, July 2, as the new president of the Municipal Council of the capital district.
Ashby, was elected on May 24 along with Nelson Vergara, representative of December 24, as Vice President of the Palace, for the period from July 2 to December 31, 2022.
During his inauguration, Ashby Chial thanked the 24 councilors for their support and confidence in granting him this designation.
“We have gone through two years of uncertainty due to the unprecedented covid-19 pandemic, we have had difficult times, but the popular power is willing to give the best of each one of us to find improvements for the Capital district, in terms of health. , garbage collection, recovery of public spaces, among others”, he said.
