In Maracaibo and sectors in Zulia there are continuous rains that are already causing considerable damage. Flooded homes and the overflowing of rivers like the Catatumbo keep the population in anxiety
The rains recorded in the state of Zulia since the night of Wednesday, November 13, forced the authorities to restrict access on the morning of this Thursday, the 14th, to the General Rafael Urdaneta bridge, known as the bridge over Lake Maracaibo.
According to information spread on social networks, there are long lines of vehicles parked in front of the toll channels to take the bridge, while the rain is present in the area. The measure is preventive, since the rains make visibility difficult for drivers traveling through the Coloso.

In the south of Lake Maracaibo, around 150 thousand hectares are at risk again due to leaks in the retaining wall of the Catatumbo River in two sections: At kilometer 43, where the work was not completed, there are problems due to the increase in flow of that tributary and the Chama; product of the climatic situation.
Gomel Sierra, vice president of Fegalago, assured FM Center es Noticia on Wednesday, November 13, that urgent work needs to be done to avoid losses.
«Sometimes a summer is fought more than a flood because you can alleviate the summer with food with bales with concentrated foods with some other measure to supplement the livestock feed but in a flood it is very difficult sometimes even livestock and lives are lost in those situations.
