It was a short but intense and violent rain the one that was recorded yesterday afternoon in the Hunter district, where the ingress of water affected the area of Cusco Pampas to approximately 4 houses.
The water came down from the upper area dragging stone and earth, so the block wall collapsed and the houses were flooded. The residents stated that they had to spend the night in the homes of their relatives.
DRAINAGE WAS BLOCKED, DUE TO WORK
The former leader of the area, Juan Olloclle Huaco, pointed out that the water overflowed down the avenue, due to the fact that the drains cloggedas a result of the fact that stands are made in the upper part and do not conclude.
In the upper parts there would be approximately 20 homes affected in areas such as Santa Marta, product of clogged drains.
With the support of the Hunter Municipality, they took advantage of this sedimentary material to build sandbags and place them as protection walls.
