This morning (4), the 12 families who were homeless due to heavy rains that hit Ubatuba, on the coast of São Paulo, since Thursday night (31), were housed at the Padre José de Anchieta Municipal School.
Landslides hit roads in the region, hampering traffic. Yesterday afternoon (3), the state Civil Defense used a Military Police helicopter to take supplies to the communities of Camburi and Picinguaba, which were isolated by the roadblocks.
Blockages
On the Rio-Santos Highway, there were landslides and rocks and trees falling at several points. According to the city of Ubatuba, the asphalt broke in a stretch. At nine points on the road, traffic still faces restrictions.
This morning, the Oswaldo Cruz Highway remained closed due to the fall of barriers and trees. The asphalt of the road also has a large number of cracks.
