At noon today, the Emergency Operations Center (COE)raised to 18 the provinces under alert in the face of the large amount of rain and warns about the possibility of flooding of rivers, streams and ravines.
The provinces placed on yellow alert are San Pedro de Macoris, Greater Santo Domingo, La Altagracia, Monte Plata, Azua and Pedernales. Also San Cristóbal, Peravia, La Romana, Barahona, San José de Ocoa, Monsignor Nouel and Sánchez Ramírez.
Meanwhile, La Vega is on green alertMaría Trinidad Sánchez, Hato Mayor, Samaná and El Seibo.
