Liscano, along with emergency and security personnel, asked the drivers who travel along the Panamericana between Michelena and Colón; They also stressed that drivers should “drive with caution”, follow the risks of landslides.

“There is also a risky passage between Colón and Michelena, where landslides have occurred, which is why caution should be asked to those who drive through the area and more so as the rains continue,” he said.

There is no machinery for emergencies due to rain

The mayor regretted that they do not have machinery to solve the failures that have occurred on different roads in the Ayacucho municipality, therefore, he called on the regional and national government, asking for support.

“We do not have the required machinery in the Ayacucho municipality, we make a call to the Táchira state government, and specifically to the presidency of the Republic, since they have the necessary resources to help buy machinery,” concluded the first authority.
