Heavy rains in the early morning caused trouble in Baixada Santista. In Santos, a task force removed sixteen tons of garbage brought by the floods in the northwest neighborhoods. According to the Civil Defense of the municipality, in 12 hours, it rained 72.7 millimeters. The task force used seven trucks and two backhoe loaders to remove rubble from the region.
In Praia Grande, 58 families occupying an area in Nova Mirim were affected by the floods. The city used tractors to help drain the water. Food and hygiene items were offered to residents of the region. A gymnasium was made available to serve displaced families.
In São Vicente, it rained 70% of what was expected for the entire month of February, totaling 160.8 mm of rain. The prefecture monitors the municipality’s hills.
