This Thursday, the east/northeast wind and a weak trough in the north of the country will cause cloudy and scattered rains during the morning in the provinces near the Atlantic coast.
According to the report of the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), throughout the day, these rains will intensify, turning into downpours with gusts of wind in the afternoon and night, affecting areas such as La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Samaná , Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Mirabal Sisters, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, La Vega, Monsignor Nouel, San Cristóbal, Santiago and Greater Santo Domingo.

For tomorrow, Friday, the east/northeast wind will continue to drag clouds over the national territory, in combination with the weak trough to the north, which will continue to generate occasional rains from the morning.
These will be more frequent in the afternoon, affecting regions such as the east, northeast, Cibao Valley and the Central Mountain Range, including provinces such as La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Samaná, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Mirabal Sisters, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, La Vega, Monsignor Nouel, San Cristóbal, Santiago, Azua, San Juan, San José de Ocoa, Barahona, Pedernales and Greater Santo Domingo.
Furthermore, the east/northeast wind, together with the current season, will favor a cool thermal sensationespecially during the night and early morning, in inland locations, particularly in mountainous areas of the Central and Northern Cordillera, and the Neiba and Bahoruco mountain ranges.
