The large amount of rain that affects the entire country also affects the Huancavelica region, leaving the roads of the Querco district completely blocked.
From the Municipality of Querco, they announced that they do not have access to the district due to the landslides caused by the different rains, since in more than one area the roads were clogged with landslides of stones, earth and mud.
At some points along the route, huge stones fell on the road, leaving the pass completely blocked.
They also announced that the routes that connect the Archaeological Province of Huancavelica, Huaytará, with its district Huayacundo, are blocked as a result of the landslides.
According to information that comes from the Huaytará residents themselves, for more than a month, it has been raining torrentially every day, with strong clouds affecting their daily work.
As we had reported, a meteorological alert from SENAMHI, disseminated by COER, alerted that the population of Castrovirreyna and Huaytará will endure more intense rains and isolated snow in locations over 4,000 meters above sea level in recent days.
