After the Vice President of the Republic José Gabriel Carrizo announced, through his Twitter account, to be on mandatory rest after contracting the influenza virus, netizens were quick to bombard him with criticism of the government’s management.
Carrizo tweeted “I recommend the population to get vaccinated against influenza, the symptoms caused by this viral infection are really strong, I would not want them to go through something similar, which at this time keeps me at rest. Vaccines are the most effective method to keep us healthy.”
But the reaction of the tweeters, rather than accepting the vice president’s advice, was a claim. Some of the messages he received were: “I recommend that you get to work, that the country is collapsing and everything is not Covid, what happened to the drug sales, that is the message that the population is waiting for ?, I recommend that you answer for the case of respirators, for the modular hospital and that you fulfill what you promised about the price of medicines”.
Others claimed: What happened to the fuel, food, medicine and other needs of the Panamanian people, those are the things we want to hear not so much blah blah blah enough of so much corruption?
Few Internet users were concerned about the vice president’s health and wished him a speedy recovery and also paid attention to his recommendation to get vaccinated against influenza.
