The draw will be played on January 30.
Colombia News.
Brayan Malaaver is a cyclist from Boyacá who has had to resort to raffling a lamb to pay for a trip to Europe to sign with an Italian amateur cycling team: The “Trevigiani Campana”.
The goal is to gather enough resources to pay for an Italian visa and a license from the Federation to stay 8 months in the European country to join the aforementioned team.
The ticket has a cost of 10 thousand pesos and will be drawn on January 30, 2022. To deposit the money to Brayan, the cyclist has recommended Nequi or Daviplata.
The 20-year-old from Boyacá, born in Cómbita, has competed in the last two seasons in the U-23 Giro d’Italia, a tour in which he was the best Colombian.
His biggest goal for this 2022 is to get a better place in the Italian round and be called up for the Tour de L’Avenir.
Through a video Brayan made this request that has caused various comments and opinions on social networks:

For some, it is a shame that an athlete has to resort to these options in order to represent the country in a competition abroad. Others believe that raffling an animal is not the way to pay for the trip.
Precisely, this was the opinion of an animal activist who observed Brayan’s publication and gave her opinion on the way in which she plans to obtain the resources. She assured that she would not sell her lambs “for anything in the world.”
“So I didn’t even have to eat. I even welcomed her baby. I am clear that they will die in their time, never sold for exploitation or for the slaughterhouse. Nube and Neblina are family,” he said on his Twitter account, a publication accompanied by several photos of lambs.
So far, Brayan has received the support of dozens of people who see him as a future champion, as is his countryman Nairo Quintana.
