Rafael Nadal debuted with victory against Kudla in the Mexican Open

After obtaining his 21st Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal reappeared this Tuesday at the Mexican Open of Tennis 2022 with a victory over the American Denis Kudla in two sets with partials of 6-3 and 6-2, in Acapulco.

Nadal, number 5 in the world ranking and fourth seed in this tournament, it took one hour and 16 minutes and 34 seconds to beat Kudla (100/ATP).

In the second round, Nadal will face the American Stefan Kozlov (130), who on Monday eliminated the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.

The Mexican Open It is an ATP 500 category tournament that distributes a bag of 1.2 million dollars in prizes.
