Rafael López Aliaga defends Andrés Hurtado with controversial statements

Chibolín

Andres Hurtadoknown as ‘Chibolín’, is currently serving preventive detention in the Lurigancho prison, within the framework of an investigation for alleged money laundering and influence peddling. In the midst of this controversy, the mayor of Lima, Rafael Lopez Aliagamade statements that have generated great controversy when defending his friend on the Latina program ‘Sin mediantes’.

“They have blamed him. He is a person who has come from very low, I do not judge his life because they have called him a pimp, brother. But pimps, in Peru… Please, eh, let them cast the first stone here. Of course then “declared the popular “Porky”, referring to Hurtado’s past.

These statements sparked laughter from the interviewer, Christian Hudtwalcker, who immediately asked him to clarify his comments. “But, what are you telling me, mayor? That they are all pimps? Mayor, there are several pimps then”the journalist responded, in a surprised tone.

In defense of his position, López Aliaga argued: “No, judging a human being is very complicated. In his life, especially at that level of intimacy, knowing where Andrés Hurtado comes from”. With these words, the mayor tried to explain the complexity of the presenter’s situation, referring to his difficult past and his efforts to move forward.

During the interview, the mayor remembered the deceased host Augusto Ferrando, mentioning that he mistreated Hurtado during the program. “Springboard to Fame.” “No, the level of humiliation that this gentleman has had. In Ferrando’s program, for example, they made him dance with a thong and things. That goes against human rights”commented López Aliaga, highlighting the degrading treatment that Hurtado suffered in his beginnings on television.

The mayor expressed that, in the “Andrés Hurtado case”, all those involved should be prosecuted and not just the presenter, pointing out how unfair it is, in his opinion, to target only the most media figure.

“Let them all go to jail, right? They only grab the most media person. What I’ve been seeing, for example, with the Siucho, how strange, why aren’t they in the pot too? Why what one person?”López Aliaga questioned.
