Rafael López Aliaga assures that he will cancel tolls and renegotiate with his operators

candidate for mayor of Lima for Renovación Popular, assured that he will declare null and void the concession contracts that have allowed the installation of tolls in the capital through contracts with companies such as Odebrecht and OAS.

During the debate organized by América TV and Canal N, the candidate for the Municipality of Lima highlighted the accusations made by the Public Ministry against former mayor Susana Villarán.

“We are going to declare the tolls of corruption null and void, both what Mrs. Villarán declared that she had received bribes from OAS and Odebrecht, and we are going to have to renegotiate with these two operators”López Aliaga assured.

The former presidential candidate did not mention that the investigations into illicit payments by these Brazilian construction companies also included former mayor Luis Castañeda, but he recalled the latter for having implemented the Metropolitan, a work that he assured will continue to be expanded throughout Av. Universitaria and to San John of Miraflores.

He also mentioned his proposal to install a train that connects Chosica with Callao and the possibility of having cable cars to carry out round trip fixed routes to decongest the streets of Lima.
