Querétaro, Qro. The entity closes the year with a portfolio of 53 investment projects for 86,955 million pesos, according to records from the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (Sedesu).
It is a cluster of projects with interest in settling in the entity, but that have not yet materialized; If they materialize, they would represent 17,737 jobs, said the secretary of Sedesu, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero.
“There are 53 projects in the pipeline that could, if we complete those 53 projects, could generate 17,000 jobs and, if the 53 are realized, it would be 86,000, almost 87,000 million pesos of investments”, he noted.
By having this portfolio as a basis, he explained, the entity will start 2025 with good growth expectations; There are projects that will be sought to be managed during the following year.
The number of projects that are in the portfolio coincides with the number of investments that were made in 2024: 53 projects that represented 32,132 million pesos and 15,730 new jobs.
“That is to say, we started the year with very good growth prospects, at least the same as this year, which is already a good start; In that sense, we will see how many more (projects) continue to be added to the portfolio,” he said.
The projects that are in the portfolio are of the industries aeronautics, food and beverages, automotive, household appliances, electronics, plastics, medical, information technology and services, as well as the energy sector.
And these are Mexican capitals, also those of the United States, Germany, China, the Netherlands, France, Canada, Austria, Korea, Italy, India, Spain, Costa Rica and Japan.
Among the investments made in 2024 is the investment of 940 million pesos for the Siemens Kaizen plant, where the company will produce panels to control the electrification from various industries; as well as Poenix Contact, which announced 1,080 million pesos and 700 jobs, to install a production plant for connectors, cables and sensors.
Diehl Aviation also stands out with 900 million pesos and 500 jobs, to produce airplane interiors; coupled with Safran projects that expanded its presence in the state for the final assembly of the LEAP 1A engine.
Industrial occupation of 95%
In parallel to the investment projects and the demand for land for manufacturing usethe industrial surface of the state registers an absorption of 94 to 95%, reporting an availability of approximately 5%, said the state secretary.
