Querétaro, Qro. During the first quarter of 2025, the state of Querétaro accumulated investment ads for 697 million dollars, represent 2.7% of the national total (25,856 million dollars), according to information from the Secretariat of Economy (HE).
They are public ads that represent the expectation of the direct foreign investment that will receive the State.
These investments would generate around 2,309 jobs, that is, 3.5% of the 65,200 jobs that will materialize in the country.
Among the 32 entities, Querétaro It is the sixth place with the greatest amount accumulated in the first three months of the year. Above the entity are Baja California, Sonora, Zacatecas, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
Baja California leads the list with an investment expectation of 4,112 million dollars, which represent almost 16% of the national amount; as well as 19,609 positions equivalent to 30% of the total jobs that will be created in the Mexican territory.
Second is Sonora with 2,162 million dollars, which resembles 8% of the total amount; coupled to 1,859 jobs (3 percent).
Zacatecas continues that, in third place, added 1,462 million dollars, almost 6% of the national total; as well as 1,059 jobs (2%), requires the data of the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade.
In the fourth place is Nuevo León with 1,157 million dollars representing 4% of the total; and with 3,009 jobs (5 percent).
And in the fifth step, Tamaulipas with $ 1,035 million, also equals almost 4%; In addition to 7,059 direct jobs (11 percent).
From January 1 to March 31 in the country, 39 public investment public ads were identified, representing 25,856 million dollars and 65,200 direct jobs in the private sector.
The greatest amount corresponds to investments in the Commerce sectorby concentrating 11,003 million dollars, 43% of the investment expectation for the country.
Manufacturing is the second sector with more investments, by adding 6,227 million dollars, 24%, through projects for beverage industry, dairy products, metal products, auto parts and medical use material. And, in third, the construction with 3,550 million dollars, 14 percent.
Other branches with investments announced in the Mexican territory are services, mining, mass media and transport.
From the global amount of the announced investments, 15 states capture 63%, are mainly northern, center and Bajío of Mexico, including: Baja California, Sonora, Zacatecas, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Querétaro, Coahuila, Guanajuato, State of Mexico, San Luis Potosí, Quintana Roo, Chihuahua, Aguascalientes, Morelos and Hidalgo.
The rest of the entities group 37% of the total investment, with 9,561 million dollars in projects that will generate 14,609 jobs (22% of the total).
