The minister assured that the decision has not been taken lightly, but because the vast majority of the population is already vaccinated against the coronavirus, the risks of contracting this disease are lower. He highlighted that the country exceeds 80% of people immunized with at least 2 doses.

He said that there is a very high percentage of immunization and that the population has already learned to take care of itself by maintaining biosecurity measures such as hand washing and wearing a mask on public transport and also in open and closed places, despite the fact that this measure was lifted several years ago. months.

Although the exact date on which this Standard will come into force is still unknown, the minister said that they will be announcing it soon, he announced that once the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo authorizes it, this measure will be without effect.
