Qatari delegation met with Apordom

The executive director of the Dominican Port Authority (Apordom), Jean Luis Rodríguez, met yesterday with the executive vice president of Operations of the Qatari Port Administration Company, Captain Abdelaziz Nasser Al-Yafi.
The purpose of the meeting was to promote investment, strengthen inter-institutional relations and show the progress of the national port system.

Rodríguez stressed that with this type of exchange of experiences he seeks to turn the Dominican Republic into the logistics hub of the region.

“For us it is very important that you are interested in learning about the transformation that we have been fostering in the National Port System and the potential of our port for foreign investment,” emphasized Jean Luis Rodríguez according to a press release.

“We hope that projects will come out of this meeting in the future that are of great benefit to both nations in which we can continue to grow as a real and true alternative for the Dominican Republic for the robbery of cargo and tourist boats,” he continued.

During the visit in which Captain Abdelaziz Nasser Al-Yafi showed a marked interest in learning more about the Dominican port system to evaluate future investments, the transformation process that has led to the intervention and investment in ports such as Barahona was discussed. , Cabo Rojo in Pedernales, San Pedro de Macorís, Haina Oriental and Occidental, as well as Boca Chica, among others.
